I love most of Tamora Pierce's novels and the emphasis put on strong female characters have always bolstered my strength as a girl and then young woman. Page was a well-written sequel to First Test, and I am excited for Squire. Such a good series for all girls ( and boys!) to read.

A great read that you can't put down. It shows the protagonist growing and changing with every page! Tamora Pierce is an amazing author.

A really strong sequel to First Test. I loved it as much as First Test and can't wait to read Squire. Such a good series!

This book features a girl that is my role model. Strong, intelligent, kind and hardworking, I say she is one-of-a-kind protagonist these days. Instead of being "chosen" and "special" because of powers granted to her, she is a normal girl with her own set of strengths and weaknesses that achieves things out of hard work and determination.

My favorite series from this author. For those girls that love a female hero, I strongly recommend this book. It isn't perfect, but its excellent for young teens.

""Someone who likes you, Page Keladry," said Gower in his usual glum way. "The joys of the season to you, my lady." He bowed and left.
Kel turned to Lalasa. "Has he always been so gloomy?"
The girl looked geniuinely startled. "Gloomy? Uncle's in a wonderful mood."
Kel blinked. "A good mood," she repeated, just to be sure she had it right." - Page

""This isn't the end of it," she told Lalasa firmly. "We're going to practice together till I know you can use any of those things."
"That's what I'm afraid of, miss," Lalasa said, soundigh as gloomy as her uncle Grover.
"I'll tell you what the Yamanis told me," said Kel as Freckle and Crown flew onto her shoulders. "Fear is a good thing. It means you're paying attention."
"They sound like wonderful people, I'm sure," replied Lalasa meekly." - Page
