This helpful and practical guide takes library staff members through the complete process of selecting, obtaining, and implementing new technologies. Emphasis throughout is placed on the various stages of planning in the process: identifying needs, planning the best implementation teams, researching vendors, and planning each step of the implementation once in contract. Excellent appendices include samples of a Technology Plan, an RFP, a scoresheet for judging responses to an RFP, and a checklist for an IT inventory.
