One of my favourite authors, hands down. Mesu brings those obscure and often questionable and hard to fathom Biblical stories to life, giving them context, character and meaning.

In this story, Mesu writes a very plausible story line to the Song of Songs and puts it into context - a love story between King Solomon and Arielah. My emotions were definitely engaged in this story and when I learned that Arielah dies, I wanted to scream, "No!!!!" Made me think how different Solomon's latter days would have been if his true love (according to this story) had lived. Would his heart have stayed true to worshiping only Yahweh as advised by his abba King David and guided by Arielah?

I always get immersed in Mesu's books and would recommend them for anyone wanting a deeper understanding of Biblical facts and culture that sometimes is hard to comprehend in our generation.

How about a round of Applause for Mesu Andrews. The authors delivers a compelling and convincing context to the very passionate love story of Solomon and his "loved-Bride" (as per Songs of Songs) It is recorded that Solomon had many wives some of which were political decisions. However, Songs of Songs contains dialogue that gives evidence that he loved a woman with a fiery, unquenchable desire. Readers and believers, Andrews's retelling mirrored with the shepherds verses personifies what love is and what it should be. One should settle for nothing less than To love thoroughly and be loved in return , (as reflected in Christ's love for the church)
